THIS WILL BE A HOOT AND TASTY! Please join us for great beer, great music, great sausages and a fun time at our Daily Planet Winter Party and Sausage Fest on Thursday, February 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Summit Brewing Company in St. Paul. Artisan sausage is a hot new food trend, and we'll have eight top sausage makers sharing the best of their wurst. The beer: Summit is generously donating their beer and use of their Ratskeller. They'll have seven different brews on tap - Extra Pale Ale, Horizon Red Ale, Maibock, Pilsner, IPA, Great Northern Porter and Oatmeal Stout., plus 1919 Root Beer The Music: The legendary Brass Messengers will perform. The meat: Eight of the Twin Cities' top sausage makers are contributing their wares - including The Black Forest, The Butcher and the Boar (opening in February at 1121 Hennepin Ave.), Clancey's Meats, the Green Ox Provisions, Kramarczuk's, the Modern Cafe, NateDogs and the Sample Room, and we'll round out the feast with sauerkraut, German potato salad or other side dishes. Veggie brats and tofu pups will also be available, plus Dan Brady's legendary chocolate chip cookies, made with the eggs of free-range chickens from northeast Minneapolis. (Really). You won't go away hungry. The Summit Brewing Company is located at 910 Montreal Circle, St. Paul MN. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door - if any tickets remain. |

Dec 3 | Saturday | 7pm doors 8pm start Metal Harvest CD Release Extravaganza !!! Cedar Cultural Center
The CD
release promises to be a full night of surprises. Like our past celebrations,
we'll bring a mix of music and theater as we turn the whole Cedar into a stage.
Two Many Banjos, with their hard to define mix of bluegrass, balkan and Duluth
based song, Mandrágora Tango will bring along dancers and transform the room
into a Buenos Aires Milonga for a brief moment and the cast of The Learning
Fairy will romp through the room with high energy theatrics. The night will also
include stories by Kevin Kling, unknown theatrics by Julian McFaul and Maren
Ward of the Bedlam Theater, Tap Dancing By Kaleena and a whole lot
more...

Save the Date! We are finishing up the final touches on a new CD and we are most excited to share it with you. We are still finalizing the details but here is what we know so far:
Metal Harvest CD Release Hoopla !!!
Cedar Cultural Center
More details to come.....
"Metal Harvest" is the Brass Messengers latest and they will release the CD at the Cedar! The CD represents a "New Minnesota Sound", with the group moving beyond the standards of New Orleans and Romania to heavy emphasis on the band's Minneapolis originals. With guests including the Duluth based, genre bending Two Many Banjos, a mix of dancers, comics and theatrics, the whole Cedar becomes the stage in typical Brass Messengers, carnival style.
